Kerry quickly demonstrated that he knew what he was doing and was a very reliable operator. He arrived on time for the agreed weekly meetings and gave us a professionally prepared brief on who was interested in our home and whether there had been any offers made. He suggested that we view similar homes that had been listed in the report and that we determine how our house rated against the one we had inspected. It didn’t take us long before we felt confident that we had a good idea of the market value of our property.
We originally didn’t want to hold an auction but by analyzing the information from our weekly reports and taking Kerry’s recommendations of attending one of JRW’s auctions, which we did and the sold price far exceeded the auction price because of the competitive nature of several bidders interested in the property, we were convinced an auction was the answer to getting our home sold.
Because we didn’t know very much about selling real-estate when we put the home on the market, we would never have agreed to an auction but with Kerry’s perseverance through his regular meetings he presented us with data and evidence that we whole-heartedly supported the decision to auction the house where we achieved an above market value.
